Tom Burnett Jr graduated from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 1985, after serving as President of the Alpha Eta chapter of the Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, Tom boarded a flight that would alter the course of American history. That flight, United 93, never hit its target in Washington D.C. thanks to the heroism of Tom and other passengers on that tragic day.

As the Alpha Eta student chapter President, Tom served his classmates, community, and campus with honor and character. The members of Alpha Kappa Psi are honored to call Tom their brother, and strive to exemplify his leadership and courage each day.

The golf tournament was established in 2011 to honor Tom's legacy and raise scholarship funds to help University of Minnesota students.  Tom loved golf, so we invite all of his family, friends, classmates, and colleagues to support this event.

We hope to see you in September!
